A good song by this overlooked band.

September 25th // Les Georges Leningrad - Black Eskimo

Not the best video but a good song. Band sounds a bit like a more listenable Residents.

September 24th // Familjen - Det Snurrar...

Played this song at a talk during GDC this year. For those who missed it.

September 23rd // Broder Daniel - No Time For Us

Keeping up the Swedish theme, here's a very special song. It was played at the memorial service of my friend who was murdered in February earlier this year.

September 22nd // Garbochock - Invasion

I doubt anyone's heard this. Very obscure Swedish band from 1980. One of the first really good bands I ever listened to. Very hard to find anything on the internet by them but a reunion gig they did a couple of years ago.

September 21th // Chromatics - Beach of Infants

Back then I used to listen to everything from Gold Standard Labs. Good stuff. Now Chromatics has a female singer and they play decent electro.

September 20th // Papercuts - Poor and free

Very good song.

September 19th // Midlake - Roscoe

Video ain't much but it's a great song.

September 18th // The War on Drugs - Arms Like Boulders

The album version is unfortunately not quite as good as the one from their EP.

September 17th // Shimmering Stars - I'm Gonna Try

One of the best songs I've heard all year.

September 16th // Wolf Parade - I Am A Runner

I still think this is their best track.

Very good live version. Love the guitar.

A cover of David Allan Coe's In My Mind.

September 10th // Bonnie "Prince" Billy - Southside of the World

Will Oldham is my all time favorite song writer.

September 9th // Port O'Brien - I Woke Up Today

Crappy video, but it's better than the official version.

September 8th // Animal Collective - My Girls

One of their best songs.

September 7th // Dr Dogg - The Breeze

Really cozy and somber song.

September 6th // Liars - The Other Side of Mt Heart Attack

One of the less energetic songs by Liars.

September 5th // The Rural Alberta Advantage - Frank AB

Song about a massive rock slide that destroyed a mining community in Canada.

September 4th // Neon Indian - Deadbeat Summer

A song that grows on you. It really captures the feeling of a summer day that's just a little bit too warm.

September 3rd // Deadly Snakes - Gore Veil

The only song that stuck with me from this somewhat short lived band.

September 2nd // The Shins - So Says I

The only really good song I've heard from The Shins.

September 1st // Blood Brothers - Love Rhymes...

A bit on the screamy side, but still a great song.
